Open Day

Brewery open day Saturday 13th July from 1200 – 2000. Have a look around the brewery, try our beers, and/or take some home. In the evening we’ll be joined by the @Kawaffle team for some tasty treats

Scrum-Half Nectar

Our special beer for the Six Nations competition was released this month and has been very well received. Brewed with a blend of pale, coloured and wheat malts this chestnut coloured beer is nicely balanced with Slovenian Dana hops in the boil and the hop back. Moreish but not too strong!

Buy Direct from the Brewery

We have a premises licence here at the brewery so you can buy bottles from us during our normal opening hours of 9 -4.30 Monday to Friday. Bag-in-box beers are available in 5, 10 and 20 litre sizes but need to be ordered in advance for collection from us or for home delivery. Please send an email to orders@summerskills.co.uk, a message through the Facebook page or phone the brewery on 01752 481283 and let us know what you would like. We can let you know what we have available and work out the price. You can pay by cash or card on delivery or collection or make a BACS payment in advance. Delivery roughly within a 10 mile radius of the brewery is included in the price. We can offer a wide range of our bottled beers in whole or mixed cases. There is a selection of products available to order online through Westcountry Produce. We also have cider some from local producers in 3 litre bag-in-boxes and bottles and larger bag-in-boxes can be supplied to order.

Plymhop Ale

Our green hopped beer “Plymhop Ale” is ready! Made with hops grown right here in Plymstock, a local gardener harvests them when the conditions in September are favourable and we brew with them the very next day. Although the recipe in terms of the malt and bittering hops remains the same, the flavours and aromas from the green hops will be slightly different each year depending on the weather conditions when they are growing and ripening. The beer has an ABV of 4.3% and is available in 500ml bottles, pins and firkins now!

Christmas Beer

Get your Christmas beer here! We are open for off sales at the brewery Monday – Friday 9-5 and will be here until lunchtime Christmas Eve. If you’d like bag-in-box beer please get in touch regarding availability and prices. We will also be at the Butchers’ Hall Christmas Market in Tavistock on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th December 9-4 and at Wembury Farmers’ Market on Saturday 18th from 9.30-12 noon. We also have a range of Devon ciders and locally produced spirits.
